There’s nothing fly about Eagle Maintenance. They are an upholstery and carpet cleaning company who have been established in the Algarve for seven years. They pride themselves on providing a punctual and professional service throughout the whole Algarve region.
Heather Eagle who heads up the carpet and upholstery cleaning side of the business laughs as she explains why she calls herself ‘The Flying Carpet’ service. “It is a bit of a pun on our surname and I am constantly on the go. We are based in Lagos and most days I whiz along the A22, sometimes as far as the Spanish border.” |
There is absolutely no need to put up with grubby chairs, soiled sofas and dirty carpets. Whether it be in a private house or holiday rental accommodation Eagle Maintenance will clean everything in-situ, to make the whole process more convenient for the customer. Restaurant or bar seating can be cleaned whilst the premises are closed. This can mean very early mornings or working at odd hours during the day or night, but the company can operate flexible hours to meet individual customer’s requirements.
Heather explains “My husband Roy and I set up Eagle Maintenance in 2000, when we moved to the Algarve. We bought an ongoing carpet and upholstery cleaning business and benefited from the previous owners 11 years experience. We learned all about the business, and within a few months, we upgraded the equipment, found a reliable source for the chemicals and became very busy.”
After seven years, Roy and Heather find that most of their business is generated by word of mouth. “It speaks volumes when we’ve been recommended,” says Heather, “It means that our customer is happy with the work that has been done. It is so good to leave a customer with everything looking and smelling clean and fresh and for them to ask for a few business cards so that they can recommend the company.”
It’s not just chairs, sofas and rugs either, the company have met all sorts of unusual requests from headboards to sunloungers, mobile home seating to yacht carpeting.
“Our customers are often horrified at the colour of the dirty water emptied out of the machine after cleaning a sofa or a carpet” says Heather, “I do reassure them that I am not there to clean ‘clean’ carpets!” |
